Referred to only as the 3rd Hokage in the anime series (until the battle with Orchimaru during the attack on Konoha), Hiruzen is the oldest Hokage. He was reinstated as Hokage after the 4th Hokage died while sealing the Nine-Tailed demon fox inside of Naruto. Hiruzen is a kind and wise old man, and is often seen talking to and helping the young kids at the Ninja academy, which is where his grandson Konohamaru attends.
