Iruka is an instructor at the Ninja academy. He is a skilled Ninja, however prefers to help the younger ninja at the academy rather than advance his own standing as a Konoha ninja. He uses few techniques through the series and is seen mostly in social settings. Iruka has had a large impact on Naruto and was the first to acknowledge Naruto. This is despite the fact that the demon hidden inside Naruto was responsible for killing Irukas parents.
